VECO’s Arrogance
Sorry Aboitiz, you now control VECO, so any complaints would also involve you. It is sad that some of your staff are pretty arrogant when it comes to admitting they are at fault.
Case in point my situation. We are currently having our house built and have a little delay because the fuse short circuited because it seemed it was not able to handle the load when the workers focused on welding for the roof.
Now, here is the funny thing. VECO insists it was our fault because our electrician only endorsed a temporary line for lighting and not including welding. But in the other requirement we passed, the OBO’s form stated one for lighting including welding. It seems VECO only follows the electrician’s endorsement, which left me to wonder … what the hell is the OBO requirement for?!
Also, let us say we are at fault as well. The end result still lay on VECO staff’s incompetence to check each requirement and make sure nothing is lacking. If they thoroughly checked our requirements, wouldn’t they have asked us why there was a discrepancy when the endorsement for both electrician and from the OBO are different?
So tell me. VECO insists it is not their fault but ours. What do you call that? I say ARROGANCE.
This was not the first time it happened. Back when we applied for a temporary line, they did not thoroughly check the requirements that we submitted at first because when they had us come back because we lacked one other requirement, we were told then one of the existing requirements expired.
What the … It is their responsibility to thoroughly validate all requirements passed. And if something is amiss, then they should do their jobs more efficiently.
So yeah … kudos to your staffs who do a very good job

sad to hear your predicament. i hope your problem gets resolved soon.
it is a pain that it is a norm for companies to not admit the mistake because it can affect the staff’s performance rating.
