Need A House Loan From Pag-Ibig? Not So Fast!
I applied for a housing loan in Pag-Ibig because my wife and I did not have enough cash to secure building our house. So yeah, I submitted the necessary requirements and they called me recently that it got approved.
Not so fast! There were still some requirements that needed to be secured before the checks will be released. One was requirement is to have the forms document stamped at the BIR while the certificate land title is to be annotated at the Registry of Deeds. All the forms meanwhile will have to be notarized by a lawyer first.
Here is where the irony kicks in. I need more money for our house. But nooooo. These freaking requirements cost quite a lot!
- Document stamping of BIR costs PHP14,000
- Annotation of certificate land title at Registry of Deeds costs PHP12,000
- Notarization by a lawyer will depend on the one you go to. If you know someone, better go to them so it will be free.
So yeah … if you plan to secure a housing loan from Pag-Ibig, think again. Make sure you have some bit of cash left in you because these bozos really are going to squeeze your wallets as much as they can.
I mean, seriously?!? Document stamping? Annotation? At those rates?!? Come on!!!
Although I was left with no choice, I was lucky I had a little bit of cash left to be able to pay those damn freaking costs. Or else there would have been no chance to secure a housing loan from them.
