A Weeklong Silence
I have not posted lately because I was busy in my hometown. My grandmother recently passed away and I only had limited Internet access because my pocket WIFI sucks, plain and simple.
So a week long silence ensued. I only got to check emails once in awhile but never fully devoted full time to doing some little work. Not even my blogs.
I only had a few visitors who dropped by and considering how introvert I am in a way, I did not expect many friends to visit me. I appreciated them visiting though. It felt good.
I also was grateful that my wife went to my hometown and attended my grandmother’s burial. Coincidentally, her grandfather passed away a few hours after my grandmother so when I went home, she had to stay. But considering her grandfather’s burial is tomorrow, I asked her to visit my grandmother’s wake yesterday.
My wife and grandmother are in a way close since they got to talk quite a lot of times when I visited my family during the Holidays and Holy Week so I was really grateful that even though my wife was not able to see my grandmother prior to her passing away, she was with me during the burial.
It was a draining week for me, emotionally and physically. I miss my grandmother. I know it will be time before things may settle back to normal but she was very special. I am planning to put up another post. Sort of like a eulogy in a way but more importantly, detailing how I respected my grandmother and how much I loved her.
