Pacific Rim (2013) Review

I have to say, this was a welcome movie from all the failed Godzilla or monster type movies that had been made as films.

Yes, this may well have flopped in the US Market but in other parts of the world, Pacific Rim was a hit. So it was not surprising that a sequel is in the works. Now, I definitely look forward to seeing more arsenal from the human side.

The CGI monsters were very good in design and movement. The power of CGI animation really has evolved in so many ways that movies like this are now easily possible.

The fight scenes? Awesome! From start to finish this movie was action packed. And the monsters just keep showing up with new surprises of their own.

The humans kept playing catch up because the monsters kept on evolving. This movie in a way resembled Independence Day in a way that the humans were lucky to be able to decipher the enemy and do something to defeat them.

Humans piloting the original Jaegar proved to be the only hope left after all the other Jaegars from other countries were defeated by the Kaiju monsters. n unexpected twist for the humans considering everybody looked forward to the new designs having a better chance than the old relics.

Guess the old saying goes never to judge a book by its cover.

I actually am looking forward to the sequel and hope that it will produce more action fight scenes than the first.
