Barangay Apas Fiesta For The Nth Time
Oh boy … what is going on with Barangay Apas. Are there too many chapels around the area that in a single year, there are countless discorals held every time?
I am not exaggerating. This is fact.
Worse, I cannot understand why the Barangay Tanods themselves and even the Captain will not even follow the law when loud events such as discorals should be stopped at midnight on a weekday and 2AM on a weekend?
These people are useless. I mean. What the hell? Stopping the discoral music at 7AM in the morning?! Last night, they stopped the music at around 5:41AM sharp. My father in law even told me they planned to stop it at 7AM.
So what were all these tanods doing? While I may not be living so near where the discoral took place, I pity those who do especially children who have to wake up early in the morning for school. You think they were able to get a good night’s sleep?
Hell, I slept at 1AM and kept waking up because of the loud music. I cannot even say what I heard was music. It was more of a broken down sound system where I only heard bass from it.
This so called fiesta or whatsoever started last Sunday. While they stopped at around midnight, last night was the main encore. They literally fired up every part of their sound system to full blast.
It has been 3 weeks that I had not had a good sleep. I know I will get hit with sickness soon. I just hope my body can persist. It is hard when one gets sick.
These tanods and captain were voted by the people to do their job. I figure they probably joined in on the fun till sawa and drank all night they forgot what the time limit is for discoral events.
This cannot be tolerated. This has been going on for the last few years when I started living somewhere in this area.
These tanods and captain are educated that is for sure. But one thing is certain, they do not act like one. If they cannot do and regulate what needs to be done, then they are not fit for the positions they are in.
