How To Quiet Down A Rooster
Roosters are annoying when in the wrong places. In the Philippines, it is quite common for a small community or what can be called a barangay to have so many roosters outside each home that it becomes a farm.
Temporarily, I live with my wife and her place is a small barangay where houses’ walls and roofs almost kiss each other. Some of the neighbors have roosters. Okay, so maybe they ain’t so bad. The worst part is if the neighbor, who lives like 5 houses away from you puts their rooster in front of your house.
What the … how uneducated of a neighbor is that? I had been lacking sleep for almost a month because of dog barkings and the last 2 weeks because of rooster cock-a-doodling-do early in the morning. I tried to Google to find ways to quiet down a rooster but it seems that there is just no way other than to either fool it into thinking it is still night time or kill it. But then again, the latter is cruel.
So it all boils down to how an ass the neighbor really is. They don’t like the noise so they put it in some place far from them, affecting other people. That, to me is pretty much uneducated.
The only option left is to transfer to some other place where there are no roosters at all. And yes, I guess in my case it is indeed the right time to move out. In 6 months time, I will definitely cherish the time I will get to sleep without any interruptions from roosters.
