The Tulfo-Santiago Fiasco
Aside from the Corona trial, at least there is something new that has been headlining the news lately. I laughed at an image titled Thrilla in Naia where it showed all the Tulfo brothers against the Santiagos + 1 female import: Miriam Defensor Santiago.
Seen the video? Who do you think is at fault. Nobody knows for sure. But whenever cases like this happen where both parties give out the same answer, one thing is certain: one of them is lying.
Since the airport did not have any CCTV cameras installed in that area where it happened (pathetic, right? what’s the point of all the travel tax and terminal fees that passengers put up with), it is hard to say who started it unless people see evidence from a video or something.
Video from start to finish looks impossible but one person did manage to catch the whole fighting incident and boy … poor Mon Tulfo being ganged up by the Santiagos and one bulky guy wearing pink shirt punching an old man.
If you want to get my opinion on this hoopla, I would comment on how Claudine berated the Cebu Pacific staff because their luggage were off loaded to another flight which should have been a no-no. You cannot blame the staff even if these things always happen because these staff are just firewalls that prevent managers from talking to irate passengers directly hence they become punching bags of passengers whenever problems of their service happen.
I pity those staff and I also pity Claudine’s kids. They must be very proud seeing their mom berate words to the Cebu Pacific staff the way she did.
Again, poor Tulfo. Even if he did punch Raymart and instigated the fight, Raymart should have just backed off and let security handle the rest. He has no right to ask for Mon’s phone in the first place. Heck, I am even happy it was Mon Tulfo who happened to be the guy taking photos.
If it was some ordinary person, I am sure they’d be scared out of their wits. But not Mon Tulfo. I still hope there will be some way to end this debacle. Evidence is needed. Whoever is telling the truth will certainly embarrass the other party for telling lies.
I heard that the Santiago flight from Boracay was piso fare. Is it true? Service is not surprising then.
