Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past

This ain’t no horror story. It is actually a comedy romantic movie starring Matthew McConaughey as Connor Mead and Jennifer Garner as Jenny Perotti. Connor is a famous photographer and confirmed womanizer, lucky guy ;). The story revolves around the time when he visits his brother to attend his wedding. There, he gets reacquainted with Jenny, the only girl who ever captured his heart.

After Connor delivers a drunken speech at the rehearsal dinner where he says that love isn’t real, he is met in the bathroom by the ghost of his Uncle Wayne, played by Michael Douglas who taught him everything he knows about picking up girls. Wayne informs Connor that over the course of the evening, he will be visited by three ghosts who will lead him through his romantic past, present, and future and in the end changes his personality and attitude into something that Jenny used to know since they were kids.

Michael Douglas’ character fits perfectly for Connor’s uncle’s role since he himself is a real life chicks killer he he he. The ghost of girlfriend past did take a huge chunk of the movie and it dragged on quite a bit. The scenes when Connor was still young were amusing. This is a good movie. I enjoyed watching it and I did shed some tears in the end when Connor became the Connor that Jenny used to admire.
