Angels & Demons

Frankly, this movie was overhyped. I did not enjoy this one bit. It was so boring. I thought there would be some CGI made angels and demons fighting out against one another. But the title it seems, is just a title, nothing more. When a murder of a physicist, Leonardo Vetra, finds a symbolist, Robert Langdon, and Mr. Vetra’s daughter, Vittoria, on an adventure for a secret brotherhood called the Illuminati. Clues lead them all around the Vatican, including the four alters of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. An assassin, working for the Illuminati, has captured the cardinals and murders each. Robert and Vittoria also are searching for a new very destructive weapon that could kill millions.

This is what the movie is all about. Nothing more. I have read in news articles that the church condemned this movie because some of the facts shown in the movie are not real? Like people care. Only fanatics would understand deeply nor be concerned about it. I only cared about the action story that I thought is the core of this movie. Plus we see Ewan McGregor doing nothing in the movie except talk to the cardinals until during the last part of the movie where he decidedly took the bomb with him and took off in a chopper. Then again, it turns out he was the overall bad guy, which was not surprising considering that it would be weird casting a top notch actor with no useful role.

Or, it would have been better during the last part of the movie when he was cornered that he took out his lightsaber and used the force to push the cops away. Just daydreaming ha ha. There is not much action here, around 70% all dialogue. So disappointing. And the media helped overhype it.
