So here’s a clip of Manny Pacquiao with the Boston Celtics who visited him after his win over Diaz to wrest the belt from him. Lucky guy. Not just becoming only the first asian to be a champion in 4 different divisions but also getting visited by the 2008 NBA Champions themselves. Tsk, would have been nice if the Lakers who visited him though … hehehe… Continue reading

Whew. I normally don’t ride planes when I travel to my hometown and back. Even though they introduce zero fares, the total net cost is still way higher than when riding a boat. With the recent tragedy of Sulpicio Lines’ Princess of the Stars, all their ships were grounded pending investigation. I couldnt’ travel via Super Ferry as it has to drop by Butuan first and I don’t have all the luxury of time wasting it. The only other ship leaving for my hometown on a Friday from Cebu is Trans Asia and I never ride that boat. That ship’s too small and I never feel safe when I ride in it. My trip from Cebu was… Continue reading

I ordered this Cheesy Chicken Fillet sandwich something. Right when the waitress served it to me, I was surprised at how small it was. It looked like Buger Machine’s bulilit burger, only less than half an inch wider. I’m not exaggerating. I had to change my order to Classic A (since WOW Classic B was not available), same as my mom’s order. After she served it to me, I was surprised yet again to find out their burger got reduced again. Man, last time I ate a BBQ Chicken Burger was last month and I think that it was bigger than what they just served to me. May or may not be that cities serve the same… Continue reading

Dear Mr. ****,
As an employee of an institution of higher education, I have few very basic expectations. Chief among these is that my direct superiors have an intellect that ranges above the common ground squirrel. After your consistent and annoying harassment of my co-workers and me during our commission of duties, I can only surmise that you are one of the few true genetic wastes of our time.
Asking me, a network administrator, to explain every nuance of everything I do each time you happen to stroll into my office is not only a waste of time, but also a waste of precious oxygen. I was hired because I know how to network computer systems, and you were apparently hired to provide amusement to your employees, who watch you vainly attempt… Continue reading

I checked out this coffee shop in I.T. Park just beside Mooon last Monday. I had tried their coffee like 7 years ago back when I think there wasn’t any Figaro branch in Cebu (at least not even one yet in Waterfront Hotel’s Casino). Since the stormy weather was over (thank God!), I had this sudden urge to drink coffee so I decided to choose Figaro over Starbucks this time. Not that it was out of curiosity since I already tasted a Figaro frap back when I used to work in Manila for a few months. The frap was terrible that time. I wasn’t satisfied with what I bought back then. So I figured, hey, time’s changed… Continue reading
