I checked out this coffee shop in I.T. Park just beside Mooon last Monday. I had tried their coffee like 7 years ago back when I think there wasn’t any Figaro branch in Cebu (at least not even one yet in Waterfront Hotel’s Casino). Since the stormy weather was over (thank God!), I had this sudden urge to drink coffee so I decided to choose Figaro over Starbucks this time. Not that it was out of curiosity since I already tasted a Figaro frap back when I used to work in Manila for a few months. The frap was terrible that time. I wasn’t satisfied with what I bought back then. So I figured, hey, time’s changed. Maybe their frap has changed too. I forgot the name of the frap that I ordered but I was sure it was something mocha-ish, probably Mocha Frap? My girlfriend ordered a jelly type of frap with coffee ice cream on top. Man, their prices are way expensive than Starbucks fraps and their servings are smaller too. I wasn’t happy with my drink as I didn’t like it. Starbucks’ moch frap is much more delicious. My girlfriend didn’t like hers either. I think you’re better off ordering a black gulaman on Chowking than their jelly coffee frap. Figaro does serve food other than pastries. Not sure if they taste good since we didn’t order any. The pictures do make them look delectable but hey! Pictures are deceiving so you should order one yourself if you want to know first hand if their menu is good. We did order 2 cupcakes. One tasted like banana, and yeah it was alright while the other I couldn’t tell what it was. My second time in Figaro and I went out with the same mood as the first time I went to in one … unsatisfied.
