A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover.

What’s this? Some sort of symbol? Naaah, it’s actually the route number of jeepneys here in Cebu that caters the Lahug-Ayala-SM route. It’s very convenient for me because I don’t have to go to Ayala and line up in their hot, humid terminal going to SM whereas I can just stop over at SSS and ride the 04L jeepneys going to SM right away. Just this week, their routes were changed. Now every time I wish to go to SM, I would have to go to Ayala first and line up in their terminal. Aside from the fact that it’s very hot and humid as the jeepneys all line up beside each other and when you’re inside… Continue reading

A couple of posts before, I talked about BreadTalk in SM’s Northwing. Last night, I passed by again and checked if there were any buzzers flying around. On the side window, I did see somewhat like a fruit-fly landing on one of their bread. Ok, so it was small I said to myself, it won’t hurt I guess. I then went inside to check on their transparent tables where their other bread were placed. I checked out each of them to see if there was any cover that would protect them from any buzzers. The moment I was passing one of their tables, a large fly came buzzing around. It didn’t exactly land on the bread, just… Continue reading

Funny how I used to think back when I was a kid that a mosquito and a fly were just one. I never saw any mosquitoes during daytime but only get to see them during the night when I go to sleep. Whereas the fly would appear during the day. My thinking back then was that mosquitoes and flies are the same. Since I see flies all the time during the day, they would mutate and become mosquitors at night to feed and suck blood whenever they can. It took me a few more years till I finally saw a mosquito during the day and I wondered, did this mosquito forget to turn into a fly? Perhaps… Continue reading

Breadtalk is now in Cebu, located in SM Northwing area. My girlfriend and I did try some of their bread and they were good. What bothered me was when one time I passed by their store and saw a fly landing and flying over a group set of bread near the side window. Ick, if ever you buy from them, better check that the items are either covered with plastic or placed in a container that’s closed. Otherwise, you’d never know if something already has contaminated them. What’s a fly you say? If you had no idea about it, it’s all good. But once you would see a fly over them, fly-hopping around, who would like… Continue reading
