An Open Letter To George Lucas
After reading about the news that Lucas Films was sold to Disney for around $4 billion, I said to myself … Wow! That is a lot of cash. But one that George Lucas deserves.
He founded Lucas Films, built it into an empire so every bit of effort that he put into that company he deserves it.
I am a huge fan of Star Wars. Always has. Always will. I do not care about what negative comments others had to say with regards to the Star Wars prequel. While I agree there were some parts that really did not fit well in connection to the original trilogy, I still say Lucas did a great job with the stories and all. The prequel were still hits!
Besides, it is not easy to make something, more so a prequel where you have to relate all the back stories to the original trilogy.
Which is why after reading about a new Star Wars post-trilogy, I was very happy. Now, I hope to see all those imperial starships that I played in games like Tie Fighter and X-Wing among others. This should be good!
George, we do not know each other but I would like to tell you that you did such an awesome job with Star Wars. Do not let detractors get under your skin because they are just jealous.
Heck, I wish I could visit Skywalk Ranch, even just a field trip of sorts. That would be an awesome experience, getting a look see inside the Industrial Lights and Magic studio. That has been my dream right from the start.
George, I wish you well in your future endeavors. Good luck with your future plans. Disney now owns your company alright and I have nothing but great expectations on any future movies that you yourself created and made famous.
