I Miss The Fit-Fil Cebu Camp
After more than a month of fitness sessions with the coaches of Pinoy Biggest Losers season 1 (Coaches Alan, Raffy, Hazel, Leigh, Wyn, Eric, Ryan), power couple Coach Jim Saret and his lovely wife Coach Tonette, Coach Kenneth Benton, Coach Eyu Abellanosa, Coach Erwina, Coach Riva and others, we as ambassadors bid adieu … for now.
The Fit Fil Camp opened up to individuals who want to get fit, strong and at the same time lose weight.
Frankly speaking, I feel sad. I have a lot to thank my wife for actually persuaded me to join this month long fitness program. Yes, you heard me right. Persuaded. I never liked doing exercises. The only exercise I do is play basketball and that does not even happen at least once a week.
So imagine the weight I piled into my stomach prior to this. It was getting bigger and bigger and so did my weight.
So how did I get to join Fit-Fil? It was a lazy Sunday afternoon in Ayala and my friends and I met up for some hanging out with our favorite god son Ivan.
It so happened that my friend Ritchel noticed a small stall in Ayala’s Active Zone where Coaches Wyn, Raffy and Leigh were manning the place for registrations to Fit Fil.
Once my wife saw what it was, her eyes turned to stars ha ha! My wife loves yoga and such so she was pretty much interested when she saw the tarpaulin of Fit Fil. She urged me to join. Obviously, I refused. But since there was a promotion for paying less if you register in groups of 4 (or I think 5), my wife and her friends needed one last person - me.
“Hoo boy” was my first reaction. But boy was I wrong. After the Fit Fil camp ended yesterday, it was weird but I actually thanked my wife for this. I miss the group, the friendships, the fun, the coaches and yes, the exercises.
Each session feature different exercises so you will never get bored. Something new will always keep people interested, right? The coaches did a remarkable job helping us get fit and in tip top shape.
I loathed the push-up. But at least now I loath a different one ha ha. The Jellybean! Crap, that exercise really is more tiring that doing push-ups. I also learned so many nutritional facts that really helped with my wife’s and my food in take.
And the highlight of the whole training camp? The 4 minute workout. This short workout really helped many who joined lose weight.
Sigh. I can’t wait till the mini camp starts. As some people say, why stop now? It has only begun. I am excited to see all my teammates once again and looking forward to the next Fit Fil Cebu Camp.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the coaches who helped us get through this.
