Anything Goes

From IMDB’s description, the Three Musketeers main characters are one and the same. The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.

But still, why does it always have to be about D’Artagnan. The movie title should have been his name and not the 3 musketeers. I would not have minded this if the fight scenes were okay. Turned out this version relied on a small team mission to retrieve the crown jewels.

It just annoyed me while watching this I thought that for a new version of this movie, they would have done away with D’Artagnan and focused more on the 3 musketeers themselves. Now this movie only portrayed the 3 main characters as support characters while catapulting D’Artagnan as the main one.

Weird, right?

I like the previous movie version compared to this one even though D’Artagnan is also present in that movie. And the ending scenes was very hanging seeing so many blimps ready to attack France because the bad guy Buckingham lost in his scheme to sow chaos and undermine the reign of King Louis and his wife.
