Sym-Bionic Titan
From creator Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack) comes an exciting hybrid of high school drama and giant robot battles. “Sym-Bionic Titan” follows the adventures of three beings from the planet Galaluna who crash-land on Earth while attempting to escape their war-torn world.
The character drawings are indeed Tartakovsky-like but they are an improvement over their predecessors. Not sure how the series will turn out in the end. This looks more like an enemy follows them to Earth to try and destroy them and they defeat the enemy. Then the next episode will still feature the same thing. You know, like Voltron.
Although I must admit at first glance, I thought the Titan looked bad. After I finished the pilot episode, the Titan’s actually cool with weapons materializing at the thought of the 2 who control the Titan while their 3rd compadre, an android makes up the Titan’s physical entity.
I guess I should not complain too much. After all, there are only a few action cartoon tv-series airing these days. At least here is another one to add up to my marathon list.
