Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

After watching this movie, all I could say was AWESOME! This was a very very good animated movie from DC. Although the main antagonist is again Lex Luthor (man, it is getting boring having him most of the time), what made this movie even better was the swarm of villains ganging up on Batman and Superman after Lex Luthor (who becomes president in this movie) puts a bounty on the caped crusader for the amount of $1 billion.

The story starts off with Lex Luthor becoming president and putting the blame on Superman after apparently Metallo gets killed (who was actually killed by Major Force, part of a group of superheroes working under the government). Once the bounty is announced, hordes of villains go out to try and bring the man of steel down. Amid all these events, a far greater threat is looming. A huge kryptonite meteor is on a collission course for Earth.

While Lex shows to the public that he intends to blow up the meteor, he actually wants it to impact Earth and start a new age where he becomes ruler and those who survive will be his underlings. It is up to Superman and Batman to stop the meteor and Lex.

While some good heroes appear here like Captain Atom and Powergirl, they really did not do much. Even Captain Marvel and Hawkman fought against them. It was like Superman and Batman against the whole world (though Powergirl defected quickly as did the others upon learning that Major Force was the one who killed Metallo).

Very very good animated movie from DC. Looking forward to the next one!
