Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li

Got to watch Street Fighter, The Legend Of Chun-Li last weekend and I would say it is an ok movie. Nothing spectacular whatsoever. There are quite a number of flaws in this movie starting with Balrog’s character. The version in this movie is someone who can barely move his own body. Plus we have this interpol agent who teams up with Bangkok police who are pretty useless and mostly the things they did were just seducing one another. Chris Klein’s acting here is like some poster boy, not fit to be a cop or something. Plus the female Bangkok police agent is hot and wears clothing that tells men to “come and get me”.

Bison is not Bison. No moves, no power just some ruthlessness in him. Vega’s an Asian instead of the Spaniard with the beautiful face. And, well … Chun Li just does not have any Chun Li moves from the game. And when Bison punched her with a direct hit on her breasts, man, she would have gotten breast cancer then. This movie is more of using Street Fighter names while having no real relation to the game. Just like Dragonball Evolution. Jackie Chan’s movie with Street Fighter characters is more entertaining than this one. If this is just an ordinary action flick, I would say this is a good movie. However, relating this to the Capcom hit game would be irrelevant.
