Weird Happening
The moment my wife and I arrived home via a taxi cab from our trip to Malaysia, I realized that the black backpack was gone. It was left at the back trunk of the cab and we only realized it the next day. Man, I was so devastated because my new barely used shoes was there and it was given to me by my wife. I thought, wow, lucky is the person or perhaps the taxi cab driver who would find my backpack. My snowcap was also there along with some other personal things. There was nothing I could do. We did not get the plate number of the taxi so there was no way I could get hold of the driver or the company that runs that taxi cab. So a few weeks had gone by and my wife texted her best friend because it was her birthday. A reply was sent and the next weird thing happened. She told my wife that she got hold of a bag with a tag with my name on it. We asked her if the bag matched the description we gave to her and she said yes.
Man, that is weird. Here I thought my shoes were long gone and used by someone else or probably sold on the streets and my wife’s best friend just told us that she has it. We have not gone to her house to get it yet so I still do not know how she got hold of it. Probably rode the same taxi the next day, placed some baggage in the trunk and luckily saw the tag with my name on it. Assumptions assumptions … The important thing is, she has it and I promised myself that I will keep on wearing my barely used pair of shoes this time. As I said awhile ago, it is just plain weird that this happened. Just like in the movie, don’t ya think?
