Filipino Time?
Wow, it was a miracle that the event of PLDT at SM Cebu started on time. Well … not literally. My wife told me it would start around 5:30 or 6pm. But, well, you know Filipino time (the art of being fashionably late?). So I thought it might start at 6pm or onward since events always start late here in the Philippines … Yes literally. People say in Manila they start on time (but, well … cannot vouch for that since I never went to any event there or something). Quarter to 6pm, I was surprised to see that they started already. Man … that was a shocker. Miraculously, they started early … or it could be because there were already lots of bystanders there. That is usually the go signal for the event to start here in Cebu when there are lots of people only. Which, is a pretty bad thing because of that reason, Filipino time will never go away. Oh well … it was a lame day today for me.
I thought I was going to some car exhibit when my wife told me about drifter cars. I thought it was some kind of sports car or something. I forgot what drifting means until I saw what they were doing. Barely stayed there since it was boring. The cars were not even worth having their pictures taken since they used old model cars. Plus, the only props they used were people. If only they used real props, it would have been more interesting just like Disney’s Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.
