Worst Boat Ride In My Life
Last holy week, my wife and I went to my hometown to spend time with my family. It was a pretty good week I would say. But the boat trip going there was terrible and the boat trip back here to Cebu, Philippines was the worst in my life. The waves were so strong that my bed rocked. In my whole life I only experienced it only once before this one and that was when there was a storm which was understandable why the trip that time was not so smooth. This one was the worst. Just an hour after the boat started to sail, I already could feel the heavy waves. This was pretty unusual because it is usually after 4 hours during the trip that this would normally occur. There was no storm that time too so it was pretty weird and I was surprised that this happened.
My wife and I do not know how to swim so we were pretty scared. We even asked the front desk where the life jackets are. We wanted to be prepared just in case. I was amazed at how the other people just slept through that ordeal even when the beds rocked once the waves hit the boat. Seems they got used to it beforehand. I, myself experienced it just now so it was a very bad experience. I barely had any sleep. It was only after 5 hours that the boat sailed smoothly. I thought I could sleep then but the person above me snored like a Lochness Monster. I wanted to punch him in the face for snoring like he owns the whole place without a care. Once we reached our destination, I had to sleep early to catch up. That was the worst boat ride in my life and I hope it will not happen again. Man, to think I brought my Macbook, SLR camera, PSP and iTouch with me. The loss would be terrible. Plus, since my wife and I do not know how to swim awwwww I do not want to think about it. I was just glad that we got to our destination in one piece. Whew!

You remind me of my boat ride going to Cebu, many years ago. I also had a terrible rocky ride, the waves were so big. I had to pray hard, not to throw up. (Yay!)
I have motion sickness and boat ride the worst for me. But I love Cebu City. I enjoyed my visit there!
