Iron Man: Armored Adventures
A new action cartoon series has hit televisions. Iron Man Armored Adventures features who else, Iron Man fighting baddies associated to the character like Mandarin, Iron Monger, Crimson Dynamo, Madame Masque, Blizzard, Living Laser, The Controller, Whiplash, Mr. Fix, Count Nefaria, Killer Shrike, Unicorn, A.I.M., MODOK, and Black Knight. This is a totally new tv-series and does not feature Iron Man allies like in the 80’s series that featured Avengers characters like Spiderwoman and Hawkeye to name a few. Tony (Iron Man) is aided by known figures Jim Rhodes (who dons the War Machine armor), Happy Hogan, and Pepper Potts (his secretary).
Here is a little summary regarding the series. Tony Stark, heir to a billion-dollar corporation, lives a life of luxury, free to pursue his chief interests like seeing extreme thrills, solving scientific mysteries, and creating mind-boggling inventions. But everything goes horribly wrong when a tragic accident robs Tony of his father and nearly costs him his own life. Now dependent on his own amazing technology for survival and dedicated to battling corruption, Tony must reconcile the pressure of teenage life with the duties of a super hero.
The animation is created using the same style as MTV’s Spider-Man: The New Animated Series using Computer Generated Imagery. The series is under way, and a 2 part episode was aired. The series is pretty good. At least there is a another new action type cartoon tv-series. Oh how I missed Justice League. With Iron Man Armored Adventures, another toon series is added to my watch list.
