The Insect … The Sponge
Man, what a night. Right after my wife’s fashion show, we decided to hang out at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the I.T. Park for some … well, obviously … coffee ;). I ordered a cup of hot Caffe Caramel. As my drink was almost finished, I just thought of using the spoon to play around with my coffee. What happened next gave me a huge surprise. My spoon somehow scooped up an insect. I could not really identify what kind but I did not look at it much longer because I somehow lost my appetite. I did take some pictures of it for evidence lolz.
I informed the barista about it and he gladly gave me a new one. Since I was already full, I decided not to drink it but I did sip a little. Guess what? I got another surprise. I felt something solid when I sipped that coffee. When I spitted it out, I found out it was a chunk of brown colored sponge. Man, they struck out twice! I did not bother taking a picture of the sponge thing ‘coz I got too lazy in taking out my camera. This was one freaky night for me. Strike two for them. I decided not to inform the barista again, else a third strike may have been imminent. Check out the two images below.
