More Frustrating Boredband Days …
Man … I promise this will be my last post for this month regarding Globe DSL. Last night, miraculously I went home early. But sadly, the connection was slow again. As most of my internet activity revolves around my blogs and online side jobs, I was pissed that I could not even connect to them while other sites were blazingly fast (wow! cached!). I called up tech support but did not show much frustration with my voice first thinking that maybe after that call, the connection would get better. More than 4 hours later … still no. 90% of what I wanted to surf kept timing out. I tried to download a movie just to see if the connection is fast. And it was … consistently fast … I wondered why the hell can’t their service download a simple page. When I called them up again, it was a good thing I kept my composure and not shout at the tech support agent who was tending to my call. I know for a fact that they are useless. As I had said before, they are just punching bags for customers. I wanted to shout at them but deep down I know they are not the right people to shout at so that was why I tried to keep my composure.
No matter how I explained it, I am stuck with them for a year. And rebates? Baaah! Those are crap. They only give you a little rebate even though you cannot access your DSL for the whole day. They do not care how many hours you were not contented with their service, they only treat your complaints as one for that certain day and will give you a very pathetic rebate. I cannot say for certain how good their DSL service is if their network is back to normal. But for those who wish to subscribe to Globe DSL, think about this first.
Ask anyone you may know who is currently hooked with Globe DSL if their network is ok or not. Do not ask Globe directly because of course, they will deny they are having problems. Look what happened to me. I never knew anything about it, and their staff went to my place to set up my DSL only to find out after that I could not connect. Hell, even that guy who configured our DSL does not even know how to go about configuring it in Mac OS. He just told my wife everything was ok since it worked in his laptop (with a Windows OS). Ain’t that nice? “VERY GOOD SERVICE”. For sure their laptop’s configuration are already fixed to show they have good connection. And look what happened? 2 Days we were not able to use it. 3rd day? Slow connection …. as with the following days after that.
