1 Hour Lunchbreak?
No way. If it were to go my way I’d say a 1 and a half hour lunchbreak will suffice. Imagine, normally lunchtime would start at 12 in the afternoon. You’d have to go out at exactly 12, go out, walk (or ride to your lunch destination), eat, then hurry back to your office before 1 hour is up. Is that what you’d call a one hour lunch break? The only way I think to have the break maximized is if I brought my own lunch to work, ate in my cubicle or desk and have more than enough time to relax before work starts again. If you have a possessive boss that monitors every move you make because he/she feels that every minute of your work must be used for work rather then you can never eat out except in your office premise because going to your intended destination and back takes time which already takes a big chunk of your one hour break. What we need is a one and a half hour lunch break, but it’s a total impossibility so, we’re stuck with what we have now.
