Rio (2011)
It has been awhile but my wife and I finally finished watching a movie. Marathons had been slow this year because we have been pretty busy on a lot of things. Rio is one very good movie. It tells the story of Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, who meets the fiercely independent Jewel because they needed to be bred as they are purported to be the last two blue macaws.
From there, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams. The movie typically overshadows the plot as a view, I was totally amazed at the wonders of Rio de Janeiro. Who knew that tourists could fly hang gliders and even get a closer view of the huge statue of Jesus. Certainly not me, until after I saw the movie.
3D movie these days … so good to watch and Rio seemed to be lively every second of it. So many birds, so many colors and the lively music of Rio made me jive to the music as they sang all their songs. A must see movie!
