Seems like every passing day these days, an item’s price soars up. I was shocked to learn one of the stalls is selling bananacue at 10 pesos. The hell, are we importing bananas from abroad now? And theirs is even smaller than the ones Julie’s Bakeshop is selling at 8 pesos. I know they can’t be removed from the sidewalk for overselling, so I hope they get nuked somehow. I went out with my friends for some snacks this afternoon bringing with me a heavy burden on choosing what to buy. I analyzed every snack available so that I could buy the cheapest and most logical of them all. I decided to buy bananacue instead, thinking that, ok, they had a 40% increase a few months ago, and this is the cheapest that would surely make your tummy contented for the time being, so I got no choice. When I got to the stall, they ran out of bananacues so it was off to the next item for me. Julies Bakeshop was the next nearest to buy snacks and I bypassed it with no second thoughts. The new Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe video game has been announced for a release this fall. You can check out the official site here. I was surprised when I saw this one. This looks to be pretty exciting and unexpected. And it’s 3D! Well, the way I see it that is. At least it ain’t sprites like in Street Fighter arcade games. Wonder how Superman will be fatalitied. Maybe Kano’s going to emit some kryptonite on his hands and grab hold of Superman’s heart. The trailer doesn’t show all characters, only Batman and Scorpion for a few seconds and I think Sub-Zero. It just seemed like a few months ago that I ranted about the price increase in bakeries. I had hoped that this would be the end of it, that another possible price increase would happen when I’d be having grandchildren. Hell, I haven’t even gotten married yet and bread prices have increased already?!? Again?!? I learned about this today because the price of Julie’s Bakeshop’s Cheese bread is now P3.00 from P2.50. What the… a big 20% increase. I could only talk to myself, angry at why this is happening. Everything seems to increase, except our salaries!
