The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
While I have to admit that out of the 4 spiderman movies that had been shown, this one is the best in terms of action scenes. The movie was already pretty good in that they carefully did not show Peter Parker’s past redundantly.
This one had a different twist.
However, I was kind of annoyed that Spiderman seemingly kept exposing his secret identity so many times. So yeah, the previous Spiderman movie also exposed him but this one had too many instances.
What was the point in wearing a mask then?
I also could not understand why Dr. Curt Connors suddenly saved Spiderman from falling during the last part of the movie. I mean, what for? He was going to prison anyway and he was all wild and crazy with his nefarious plans.
The actors behind Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy did a good job though. They really had a connection whenever they were around together.
Uncle Ben was annoying.
Here is hoping the next Spiderman sequel will have more fight scenes because this one should have more but since Parker’s past was shown, pilot movies always eat a huge chunk of movie time.
Oh yeah, I was surprised I did not hear that famous phrase “with great power, comes great responsibility”. They really did not make it redundant
