1st Holy Week Away From Home
Literally. I used to go home to my hometown to be with my family whenever I can, Holy Week included. After I got married I seldom went home but I do make sure I go home during Holy Week and New Year considering those have long holidays.
Finally, this year I stayed put. I miss my family though but the rising cost of fuel has made it more expensive for me and my wife to visit my folks back home. Sucks, right? But it is what it is. This is the real scenario of traveling these days, private entities keep jacking up fuel prices to the point that traveling just becomes a necessity.
I figure I could use the money to add it up to my savings considering that we are going to start having our house built by next month if all requirements are cleared.
I may not even go home this New Year as well.
Still, I like going home during the Holy Week because the city is quiet and I enjoy staying home with my family when we are all done with our prioritized activities.
So I feel really weird now. And this looks to be a pretty long week for me.
