Seeing An Old Woman
A few minutes ago, an old woman was helped by people accompanying her go inside the elevator and I just cannot help but look at her. She is very old and whenever I see old people I tend to feel sad because they are not the same vibrant young people like they used to be.
And then … I think of myself that in time, I will be like her. Then the negative thinking kicks in. Where will I go when it is time? Yes, my soul will go to heaven, but I just cannot help thinking about it. I was told that souls have no minds and that when a soul gets to heaven, he/she will not recognize the family members if ever they do get to meet up by chance.
There was one thing that made me smile when I was with the old woman in the elevator. Even though she is old, she seemed to be full of vigor and was all smiles and very talkative. Even though we gave her some space in the middle so she would be comfortable, she snuck in between the other people on the side elevator. The person accompanying her said that she just liked to.
Cute.
