The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (2010)
The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, is a Nickelodeon Telemovie starring Victoria Justice and Brooke Shields and is a remake of the 1973 film with the same name. A Californian family - the Sands family - inherits a castle in Romania. This is especially exciting to the son, who is obsessed with monsters. And he is not disappointed.
Naturally, they hop on a plane to check out their new home, Wolfsberg Manor, an ancient gothic castle lorded over by the mysterious Madame Varcolac (played by Brooke Shields). Now the Sands are living large! But nothing is ever as easy as it looks. Especially with a band of bloodsuckers on the loose! Before the Sands clan gets their hands on this mansion, they will have to undergo some transformations … like a werewolf.
There were quite a number of hilarious moments like every time someone says Madame Varcolac a wolf’s howl is heard which is a reference to the film, Young Frankenstein. Brooke Shield’s character was so funny it was totally a different personality from her days of the now defunct Lipstick Jungle.
This is a Nickelodeon’s special so it is not scary as this channel is meant for kids. No need to be afraid scaredy cats, watch this with your kids and friends. It is a good one.
