The Dream Team

Anybody who saw the 1992 USA men’s basketball team play during the olympics would know them as the Dream Team. And why not. With a lineup that includes Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan this team was unstoppable. If you follow sports news closely then you know that they had just been enshrined into the Hall of Fame.
With all the excitement, I just had to look for any game that they played. Luckily, someone did host a video file of their finals game against Croatia that featured a young Toni Kukoc and the late Drazen Petrovic. I probably will try to look for their other games and watch them all over again.
The whole tournament their coach, the late Chuck Daly never called time out. It was testament to how powerful this team was. Even though Croatia did manage to lead by a few points, team USA stormed ahead after Barkley went in. I just wondered why they had to put in a college player instead of having Shaquille O’neal or Hakeem Olajuwon.
The Dream Team will forever be the best team in basketball.
