As famous as Wikipedia is, a group of regular, everyday investors who are sick of the level of information on the major finance portals, created Wikinvest, its own financial portal. An investment is more than the sum of its ratios.
The site showcases deeper stories behind a company, giving investors the context they need to understand what they are betting on when they purchase a particular stock or invest in a specific sector. Knowledge is important and a background check is equally beneficial for an investor.
I recently read a good deal about taxation of capital gains for Mitsubishi_UFJ_Financial_Group_(MTU) Taxation_Capital_Gains, Companhia_Brasileira_de_Distribuicao_(CBD) Taxation_Capital_Gains and Turkcell_Iletisim_Hizmetleri_AS_(TKC) Taxation_Capital_Gains and here is what I can say: they have different rules on what a US shareholder can attain based on certain countries.
This means that the criteria does not apply the same way as in other countries so any body should check out the information firsthand before making any moves. Wikinvest is a good place start.
