Pacquiao Wins! … Again

As everyone expected, Manny Pacquiao won over Joshua Clottey via a unanimous decision. But not after seeing Pacquiao given a few scares when Clottey did connect a few times on his head. And to think Pacquiao barely had any clean shot at Clottey back. Overall it was a slow paced game with Clottey electing to do turtle shield techniques without even connecting much against Pacquiao.

This took away the excitement of a boxing match that it should be. Just like in basketball when players start fouling one move after the next, thereby delaying and slowing the pace of the game. This was what Clottey did. Instead of exchanging punches, he opted to keep shielding himself against Pacquiao’s punches.

Oh yeah, there were quite a few instances that Pacquiao’s foot got stepped on more than 1 occasion. Makes me think there should have been two referees to monitor the fight. Manny was lucky Clottey did not use those opportunities to immobilize him and punch him.

Does not matter how the game was fought, Pacquiao won in the end and that is all that matters. Next up … hopefully … Mayweather! I definitely am going to watch that LIVE! While watching the game against Clottey, there was an annoying Filipino voice that was so loud his voice could be clearly heard. The guy even spoke Visayan. Probably wanted some attention.

And WOW! Those Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders who sang the U.S.’ national anthem were pretty good. Got looks too. They have talent and possibilities. Anyhow, congratulations to Manny Pacquiao for another well deserved win! He is filthy richer now more than ever. And with that possible Mayweather fight everyone is looking forward to happen, makes me wonder now what else he is going to do with his money ;).
