Barbie In A Mermaid’s Tale

Barbie has released another movie titled Barbie in a Mermaid’s Tale. Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is the first Barbie movie where the story is set during the present day, not some fairy tale or fantasy themed world. Barbie stars as Merliah, a surfing champion from Malibu. But strange things begin to happen to her like her hair turns pink, she can breathe underwater and can even talk to dolphins.
Merliah soon discovers a shocking family secret; she’s a mermaid. Her mother is Calissa, the Queen of Oceana, but Calissa’s evil sister Eris has stolen the throne. Along with her dolphin friend Zuma, Merliah sets off on an undersea adventure to rescue her mother and discover her true destiny. She must get three items to succeed: the hair comb, a dreamfish and Eris’ protective necklace.
While the plot is common and hardly unique, I would say I enjoyed this movie very much compared to the other Barbie flicks. Maybe it is because of the present day setting. And, there is no prince here … for a change. As well as those dancing kids that look abnormally the same with only their colors and costumes making them different. No question about it, kids will love this if they will watch it!

Ohh I love barbie. My kids have grown and I still watch a lot of barbie
