Ever heard of Save Dave campaign? This campaign came to be because a Macquarie Group broker named David Kiely, was seen live on television ogling pictures of Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr. So he was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he opened the document and when that happened, he was seen by millions of people across the world after videos spread out in the internet.

Poor guy. But there were many people who rallied and supported him urging his company not to fire him. And it was not like he was viewing porn. No private parts were seen. Glad the company retained his job and did not fire him. I read a comment somewhere that said “‘The bank has far from condoned the whole thing but a man should not lose his job over a storm in a teacup,” said ”Dave is saved” in Melbourne. ”He made a mistake, the poor man’s made headlines around the world - surely that is punishment enough”.

If he wasn’t caught on live television viewing those photos, he might have gotten fired since that news will be kept within the company. You know how companies want to keep everything in check and in secrecy. Well Dave, glad you still have your job back and next time … be careful .
