Training a dog requires an open mind and gentle hand. Oh yeah, patience too. Without these, you may never get your dog to do any tricks you have in mind. Also note that not all dogs react to the same results that you plan to train them with.

People may say, okay let us hire a trainer to train our Great Date dog. Then again, if you somehow manage to do it yourself, this way is better because you will be able to establish a long lasting relationship even through the training.

So what to do then? Get yourself trained. Or, you can always hire some expert. Either way, what you do with your Great Dane in its early years can set the foundation for a lifelong companionship. Or you can always look in the net for some great dane training resources.

And remember, if you do plan to use a trainer for your dog, try to establish a relationship with it first so that once your dog’s training ends, he can still remember that relationship you have with it.
