Anyone Seen The Blind Side?

Sandra Bullock’s latest movie is a surprise success and its strong showing will likely keep on rolling until early next year. Part of its success is due to word of mouth and maybe the plot of what the movie is all about.

The Blind Side is the story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher’s presence in the Touhys’ lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own.

Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive tackle of the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League.

As for Sean Touhy, he is a pretty famous person himself, currently working as broadcaster for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association for 9 years and counting. What the Touhys did for Oher was simply heartwarming and Oher did not disappoint them, becoming successful with school and sports.

I myself have not yet seen this movie, but I will definitely once I get hold of this. It would be pretty interesting to watch.
