Marco Polo Hotel

Last Thursday, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary as being boyfriend and girlfriend. Married couples do not celebrate that occasion anymore. Although it is really up to the couple. We decided to celebrate it just once, and be the last since our next anniversary then would be our wedding anniversary. My wife wanted to try Marco Polo Hotel’s buffet so off we went. It was my second time to eat there and the buffet did not disappoint me still.
They always serve a smorgasbord of a variety of food. Currently the net price per person is 984.00 pesos. Man we were both stuffed that night, though not too stuffed. I controlled myself to not eating to the extreme though haha. After I got the bill, I was surprised that we had to pay lesser than the price I thought I would be paying. Turned out that my Metrobank credit card has a 12% discount there. That was a first for me. Equitable’s credit card never gave me any good discounts. Yes, all credit cards have discounts in food establishments but Equitable only catered to Manila establishments which would make my credit card in Cebu pretty useless. Which is why I have decided to stop with BDO credit card and use some other bank instead, maybe Citibank (after my Metrobank credit card expires).
Let me see, Marco Polo’s buffet has like 4 huge areas serving different kind of food. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, ummm I’m not sure what one of it was, probably European and we can never forget desserts. The fruits were yummy, very sweet. And it was the first time I tried out octopus meat in the Japanese section. After the buffet we had a few photoshots in front of their huge Christmas tree.
