Wedding Shock
Jun 06, 2008 I news, people.I checked out our local online news website to check out if there’s anything interesting that’s happened yesterday. I didn’t expect as much since it has always been mostly political. It wasn’t a headline, but the title caught my attention. US man seeks to ‘annul’ marriage. The first thing that came to my mind, hmm 3rd party? Irreconcilable differences? I don’t think those are even heavyweight reasons for annulment. If you are not even sure of your partner, then do not bother wasting time and waste your future just for the sake of marriage. When I read the news, I was surprised it was for a different reason. The guy was duped into marrying a gay. The gay only opened up to him after their wedding, during the night probably getting ready for their ehem ehem. Poor guy, probably so excited for “the night”. As much as I respect gays who act decently, I don’t think I can even respect this one. He already lied to his/her man by only telling him after they got married. I’m pretty sure the guy is so humiliated and this experience will forever haunt his memories. I guess if the guy wanted to take precautions he should have asked his partner to show him the goods :P. Better safe that sorry right? Since they kept seeing each other through webcam, there is no reason why they can’t even undress online. This could have saved him the embarrassment and the bad memories that would soon follow.

Well, I guess wouldn’t be surprised if one of them files for annulment. It’s not so much the gender, but it’s the fact that there was a big deception before the big day. Even not knowing that a spouse can’t concieve a child (and intentionally did not say so) can be used as grounds for annulment :(…
