Beauty And The Geek
This is the best reaility show for me. It’s from the producing team of Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg. I’ve seen a few episodes when this first started. It was with season 4 that I actually got hooked upon checking out the first episode again. This show pairs a Geek and a Beauty and they’ll be given challenges just like any other normal reality show. I think with seasons 1 to 3, the goal to win $250,000 is to know as much about his/her partner, as what I saw in a final episode (forgot if it was season 1 or 2 or 3). With season 4, they did a new twist probably to avoid boredom on loyal watchers who’d think the mechanics would still be the same. This time, they actually added a new pair to the mix, only that the beauty was a male and the geek was a female. Rebecca is hot and beautiful. The first pair booted off in season 4 (forgot her name) was a playboy hopeful and she is prettier and hotter than Rebecca. The final episode for season 4 was a bit disappointing though, as they did not implement the same mechanics as in previous seasons. The winner was actually chosen by voters through text messaging. And I abhor contests that determine winners via text messaging. It would void the contestant’s efforts because voters just like the others. For every contest that has text voters preference as one of its categories in choosing a winner, I am never convinced that they deserve to win (unless I think otherwise he he he). And it was pretty evident in Sam and Nicole’s faces when the host did not mention their names as the winners of Beauty And The Geek season 4. The latest season is 5 and whoa! Lots of hotties than before. There’s a playboy model, a hostess, runway model and so many more. As with season 4, they purposely have a new twist … again. This time, they’re not paired with a geek and beauty. It’s beauty v.s. geeks.! Episode 1 was already fun to watch and Amber got kicked out in episode 2. Episode 3 was sort of a pity episode because each group had to decide which member to transfer to the other side, only then to find out that whoever loses the next challenge will automatically have the transferred member eliminated right away. Sounds unfair to me but, it’s their rules. The playboy model’s hot while one beauty looks like Charlize Theron. whooot! Check out their website for more info.
