The iPhone 5, iPod Touch & The Nano

So the iPhone 5 finally debuted with a larger screen, which is what all of smart phone users need. Considering that the Apple brand is a luxurious one, it is weird that Apple took so long to realize that a big screen was necessary.

Marketing strategy? Nah. I knew firsthand when the first iPhone came out that it would be a hit. When the first iTouch came out, I was already impressed with it. I thought that if they could expand their first generation iOS to something more, the ability for developers to create apps and such, then this would be a worldwide hit.

And a hit it was. The iPhone’s hardware is nothing new. Many Android smartphone models have better ones. The factor for me is within the operating system itself. Apple did pave the way for the smartphone revolution to really take off but then they have been stagnant when it comes to innovation.

iOS is boring. Nothing new and the look stayed the same. They could at least show some more pizzazz by showing something new with the graphical user interface. Apple is lucky that so many fanboys still worship their gadgets as something from the heavens.

A smartphone’s success really lies in the apps. If there are no apps, a phone is just a phone, nothing more. Apple’s devices are hits because of the sheer number of apps that are developed daily by just about any developer.

Now … the iPhone 5 is a good product. So is the iTouch. But the Nano? Who the hell would buy that weird looking gadget when the price difference between an iTouch and a Nano is only $50. The Nano is a waste of money and environmental resources. Go get the iTouch. Its 5MP camera and CPU all the more makes it a tempting product.

Adding Yahoo Email Gives “The Certificate For This Server Is Invalid.” In iTouch

When you get this kind of error, ensure your date is correct so certificates can be verified.

I did not know the time of my iTouch was reset.

Probably because I left it for quite some time and forgot to charge it so the date/time went back to its default.

Just make sure you set the correct date and you will be able to link your Yahoo email with your iTouch.

Text Twist 2 For iTouch

Text Twist 2′s game play for the iTouch offers some different twists. The game now has different modes so you can enjoy more letter twisting mania. Developed by GameHouse, you try your skills in five challenging game modes: timed and untimed, letter mania, lightning and daily word.

In letter mania, you fill in the whole anagram grid before time runs out. Each letter used is replaced by another. In lightning, you try unscramble all five words as quickly as possible. And with daily word, you try to find the longest word available.

All these ensure that your fingers will stay glued to the game until you surrender ha ha! I wanted them to stick to the original game play in timed and untimed mode where words guessed are sorted alphabetically. Instead, whatever word you guess will appear on the first empty slot it can find so it is harder to guess the word since you do not have any cheat pattern to guide yourself with.

I always play the untimed mode because I find it enjoyable to play something that does not force me to rush on things. Every game also gives you two chances to solve the longest word in case you get stuck, so that helps. And I think this feature is needed because there are so many never-seen-before words to me.

And it gets very hard to guess if that weird word is the longest one. It can be irritating at times but, well … that is the dictionary that they used for this game. Overall, this game is a great deal. You definitely should get this one. Once a classic, always a classic.
