Fix FileApe Crash In Installous
Posted by tech on
March 1, 2011
When I first jailbroke my iTouch, I had no problems with it until there were some games that I wanted wherein the only available options were from FileApe. Whenever I downloaded files from that site, it always snaps. Good thing Washokusan shared this solution.
Update Installous to the latest version available by adding this source in Cydia. If you already have Installous installed, remove it and download the latest version of Installous 4 from Mod Your Pod repo as shown below.
That is it! You should have no problems downloading from that site.

Fix The Network Error Problem In Developer Titanium During Upgrade
Posted by tech on
February 22, 2010
When you install Titanium Developer and decide to upgrade to a new version, chances are you will encounter a network error problem that persists rendering the application unusable because whenever you start the program, it will try to resume the upgrade installation. You can override the upgrade by deleting the folders according to the two operating systems that this application is available in: Windows and Mac OS.
For Windows, you can delete the folder Titanium in C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\ where [USER] can be your user account or choose the “All Users”. If there is a Titanium folder there, delete it.
In the case of Mac OS, I just go to the folder /Libary/Application Support/Titanium. The files are all there. If you want no hassles, just delete the folder right away. That should solve that network error and you can then use Titanium Developer.

Google Chrome Mac OS Needs Some Fixing Pronto!
Posted by tech on
February 13, 2010
I had been using Google Chrome for Mac OS ever since it came out. Knowing it is just new, there are bound to be bugs here and there. There is one annoying bug that keeps hounding me and it happens in my WordPress blogs. I am not sure if it is related to Javascript or not but I am guessing it is not since sometimes when I press the Enter key to go to the next line, Chrome just crashes all of a sudden.
While the application still lacks some parts Javascript support, I am quite annoyed that I had to switch to Firefox in order to do something in my WordPress blogs. Tsk. Chrome is good, but severe bugs like this one that can cause annoying crashes should have been tested thoroughly.
I still use Chrome for my web tasks but it seems likely that I would have to be forced to use Firefox to even create a new post in my WordPress blogs. And no, I ain’t going to use Safari.
