Samsung Holiday Wear 2010

Last December 11, 2010, Samsung commissioned 10 designers for the Samsung Holiday Wear 2010, which unfolded right smack at Cebu’s ultimate destination, The Northwing of SM City Cebu. The designs took a hodgepodge of references - from modern Boticelli’s Venus to a Tron princess, Roman gladiators to 50s Roman Holiday, Pocahontas to Lady Gaga to the Nutcracker Suite.

Though all worked with a light, fresh touch in sync with Samsung’s position as the de rigueur phone for the fashion demimonde, consciously or not, the mood read enchanting with the jewel colors, headpieces and accessories. SM City Cebu partnered with Samsung, Clothes for Life and M.A.C. (Models Association of Cebu) in making this a more joyful CHRISTmas. I wore Cyrus Velasco and Ren Manabat’s creations.

Gear and Glam 2009

If you could still remember October of last year, I wrote about SM Cebu hosting one of the most remarkable events of the year, the “Gear and Glam”. And this year they will be hosting the same event at SM North Wing Atrium tomorrow, October 29,2009.

I still don’t know what exactly is going to happen or how different this show will be from last years. All I know for now is that it would still be featuring the rare car collections of Cebu’s car enthusiasts. Same as last year, we will be opening the event with a short fashion show wearing the collections of the designers from the Fashion Council of Cebu (CFC).

As the Event says, “Gear and Glam”, Gear means the cars, and the Glam is for the fashionable designer clothing that will be donned by the models from MAC. Later on I will be posting some of the pictures at my site. So watch out for it!
