Sharper Uniforms
Restaurant uniforms are a lot more than clothing for your staff. Uniforms are a major component of the identity and quality of your restaurant as well as your overall presentation to the public. Therefore, these uniforms must be comfortable enough and smart enough, like the uniforms you can find at sharperuniforms.com, for your entire restaurant staff.
Operating a restaurant is a lot more than serving good food. There are other important factors that matter such as a well-mannered staff, a classy interior, excellent food and good music that all play a big part in creating the perfect ambiance to entice guests to come back again. If you run or manage a restaurant, you know how much effort goes into perfecting things to draw the guest back in again. Presentation can make or break the difference in a classy versus regular restaurant.
Presentation includes how your staff is dressed. The staff, being a major part of the restaurant, carries the character of your restaurant with it. A staff smartly dressed offers a great impression of the restaurant. A staff poorly dressed gives off a casual approach. As the owner of a restaurant, you want to give the best presentation to the customer.
A well-designed uniform is one that is durable and comfortable to wear. The fabric should be light, easy to clean, durable and comfortable. When you compromise the quality of the fabric, it results in a scruffy looking uniform after three or four washes. Frequent washes with restaurant uniforms are necessary due to the stains that are common with serving and cooking food. Having a quality fabric with good stitching is important for the uniform to look nice and to be comfortable.

Food trip once again!
Last Saturday, my hubby and I had another go at TGIF because his siblings were in town so we thought of treating them there since they have not tried this famous American diner. These are some of the new food that we have tried from this diner:
Buffalo wings-a traditional upstate New York-style chicken wings(6 pieces) marinated with spicy sauce with celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing. (P275-)
Filipino Pork Liempo-with your choice of either 2 or 3 slices in one order but for me 2 pieces would do. Marinated in garlic and sweet soy sauce, with native ensalada and their very own vinegar and garlic sauce. (P275- or P355)
Baby Back ribs—tender pork ribs with tangy barbecue sauce but I chose the JD or Jack Daniel’s sauce. Also served with crispy fries. (P495- half rack, P955- full rack)
Bacon Cheese Burger—all beef patty covered with melted Colby cheese, crispy bacon and with classic fixings and with crispy fries on the side.
Be careful on what you order, some of them really come in big portions or servings. I suggest you order foods and share it with your company. I will be posting photos later on. Watch out for it!

T.G.I. Friday’s
Last Saturday, November 21, 2009 my husband and I tried out this promo coupon that I bought from an advertising or marketing company SmartConcept Inc. It caught my attention when the lady offered me a promo for one of the most recognized American restaurant chain all over the world, TGI Friday’s. We have actually tasted some of their specialties once during their first few days after opening at Terraces, Ayala Cebu. Here are the PHOTOS and description of the food that we ordered.
cajun shrimp and chicken pasta - al dente fettuccine pasta ribbons smothered in Friday’s creamy spicy alfredo sauce. All topped off with juicy chicken and shrimp, sauteed with red bell peppers and their speicial cajun butter, finished with parmesan cheese (290.00)
chicken fingers - hand batterd chicken tenders, golden fried and served with Friday’s fries. Your choice of barbecue sauce and honey mustard dressing for dipping (265.00)
The prices are quite costly compared to some other restaurants. But because of the coupons that I bought for only 399 we can avail of the benefits such as the FREE chicken fingers worth P265-, Friday’s Sundae for P195- and 5 bottles of SMB or 5 glasses of non-refillable Coke for P375-. And 12 more other coupons and you will get freebies when you order a certain menu. All of which can be availed until May of 2010. Isn’t it worth it?
