Get Outdoors - Live A No Barriers Life!

Who says when one has a disability, they cannot overcome obstacles like, say, exploring the world. Meet Erik Weihenmayer.

Erik is the only blind adventurer to climb to the seven highest summits in the world. His latest expedition? To kayak the Grand Canyon’s Colorado River!

He and fellow blind adventurer, Lonnie Bedwell, will be the first blind adventurers to attempt this enormous feat.

This expedition serves to inspire people to not limit themselves, eliminate barriers in their lives and live life to its fullest. Nature Valley is joining Erik Weihenmayer in inviting people to pledge to get out there and live a No Barriers Life.

After all, life is short. Live life to the fullest and make the most while you are still breathing, right?

People love adventure. Who doesn’t? I love hiking on mountain trails and rock climbing. They can look intimidating at first but once you are there and with help from your group of friends, anybody can reach the end of their destination and break the barrier.

When going on adventure trips, always bring along your friends with you. I find it boring doing it alone. Plus, the more the merrier right? And it is also more fun!

Check out these 2 videos to see Erik’s journey to his adventures.

And

Erik has partnered with Nature Valley and you can follow their Tumbler page to see his adventures’ journey. Nature Valley has a long history of commitment to nature, outdoor activities and the national parks.

They find inspiration from the beauty of nature and the way people connect with nature – whether that is from a fearless adventure like those undertaken by Weihenmayer or an everyday hike.

Experiencing nature enables people to feel most alive and Erik’s journey is a great demonstration that anybody can break barriers if they believe in themselves.

When In L.A., Let Justin Sather Be Your Guide To Everything L.A.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Overnight Reputation for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

What can you think of when Los Angeles comes into play? The hometown basketball Lakers? The Los Angeles Dodgers perhaps? Or how about hocket’s L.A. Kings?

I am a basketball fanatic and Staples Center is one of my favorite venues when taking some time off and relax by watching some sports games.

Justin Sather is a travel and lifestyle blogger who recently moved to L.A. and has some good articles posted on his various adventures in and around L.A.

The site JustinSather.com also offers a plethora of Los Angeles Food Reviews from Justin Sather that can help tourists and locals alike be given insights on the food served by L.A.’s finest restaurants.

Some of the posts in the blog of Justin Sather are fairly short but otherwise with visual photos provided offer readers what the places he has gone to looks like.

You can probably look in Google on the best places to go in L.A. but many of those do not offer stories and experiences what it’s like to be in those places and what to expect.

Visit http://www.justinsather.com to get some good perspective on what life is like in L.A. and how anyone can maximize their time and enjoy the various food choices and places to go to.

It is a fact Los Angeles is a huge place. There may not be enough time for you to visit all places at one time. The best thing for you, if you are going there as a tourist is to maximize to only experience the best places worth going to in a first visit.

So check out his adventures at justinsather.com.

Fear Factor

Doing things that you are afraid of can either make you more afraid of it or surpass that fear and enjoy it instead. Just like my first zip line experience in Macahambus Adventure Park Cagayan de Oro City. Even when looking at those people sliding on the cable bars or whatever that thing is, makes me tremble.

First thing that got into my head was that, am I not going to die with this? What if the cable accidentally breaks? Am I not going to collapse while doing this? But after that first zip experience those questions turned into an “I want more!” (lol) At last I made it!

That is why my hubby and I had our 2nd Zip in Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia and just recently in Dahilayan Adventure Park in Cagayan de Oro City. The longest dual zipline cable in Asia! Whew! You’ve got to try it!

I will be posting my experience on each ZIPPIE adventure. Details in my next posts.
