Mobilizing professional artists in volunteer service programs that benefit institutions like schools, hospitals and communities, Sing For Hope is a New York non profit organization founded by well known opera singers Monica Yunis and Camille Zamora. From these two individuals, they have grown to be one of the famous non profit organizations in the nation.
From my perspective, the organization’s programs are an inspiration that others must follow because apart from putting up this organization for the betterment of others, these talented volunteers do it for free because they believe in positive social change.
Sing for Hope mobilizes over hundreds of professional artists in volunteer service programs. These programs consist of Art U!: Arts and leadership education for undeserved youth, Healing Arts: In-hospital performances and workshops that complement the healing process and Community Arts: Events that raise awareness and funds for humanitarian causes, and projects that dismantle barriers to arts accessibility.
I urge people to support their cause by watching their performances. You in turn will also help them in their cause. I admire the work Sing For Hope is doing and it should serve as an inspiration for others to do the same, in a unique way.
