Oro China (read as Oro Tsina) is derived from Spanish word oro for gold and china from old conversational jewelry language chinahin or chinichina which means to purify gold. This company has become very known for the quality of its gemstones, and jewelries offered to customers.
Last August 28 and 29, 2009, Oro China held a prestigious celebration for its 42nd anniversary at Golden Peak Hotel, Cebu. Two days of partying and celebrating the company’s success and progress. Aside from the jewelry fair, the event also showcased the finest collections from Oro China, Oro Galleria, and Diagold through a short fashion show. Unfortunately, I was not part of it because I was still in Cagayan de Oro that time. My MAC co-models were lucky to be wearing those precious stones and jewelries while wearing the gowns from the finest designers in Cebu.
There was even a celebrity there, Christian Bautista. Tsk! But, I did get to see some celebrities while I was in Cagayan de Oro during the GMA Kapuso Day because my co-model and friend is also a host for that TV network.
The highlight of the 2 day event for Oro China’s 42nd Anniversary Celebration (aside from the jewelry fair) was the salon-type fashion show where models wore millions worth of jewelries (pearls, assorted gemstones, yellow and white gold and diamonds!!). Fashion Labels by Linea Italia and Bergamo. Designers who got involved were Arcy Gayatin, Salvador Malto, Ronald Enrico.

Hi! I purchased a couple of jewelry pieces from Oro China and their store is very elegant looking but I hate the pushy overfriendly hypocrisy of the salesladies.
Are you the owner of Oro China?
