Triad Securities

Triad Securities is a prime brokerage, IPO analysis and trading company on Wall Street that was established back in 1976. Being one of the largest institutions on Wall Street, they cater to small hedge funds. They regularly product coverage of the IPO marketplace and their Q3 2010 report has just been made available.

What is an IPO review? It is a review that highlights trends in sectors and industries, specific and related deals, underwriters, and deal performance. With commentary and insight gathered from various sources, the review serves as a constructive source for IPO happenings, in a way like news.

Checking the Q3 report, it looks like they highlighted momentum in the IPO markets, including commentary on global deals and ADR’s and that 40% of U.S. deal flow in the fourth quarter 2010 was attributed to these Chinese ADRs. Not bad. I would say that is good news. The Chinese really brought out the best this time.

For U.S. comapnies, the best performing U.S. IPOs since their first trade are tech companies HiSoft Technology International, Broadsoft, RealPage, Camelot Information Systems and Qlik Technologies. Even though the crisis hit majority of companies, it seems they have slowly picked themselves back up to where they are now. Overall, 2010 was a good year.
