Yes. you read it right. Crap. They are supposed to be the local enforcers within the barangay but instead, they do not enforce simple laws like until what time annoying discorals should be allowed. Anybody wanting to blast out music to neighboring areas should respect the rule of law: 12 midnight on weekdays and 2AM […]
They are what I call people who rent a room in a boarding house who seemingly act like they own the place. They are the kind of people who knowingly walk through corridors like Godzilla without any care in the world that there are others who might be asleep at that time.
Oh yeah, the floor’s just wood. It ain’t cement so just imagine even small people walk like the Japanese behemoth monster.
They also tend to talk loud in their rooms even during the wee hours of the morning. Some boarders do not have the same working hours hence those who recently get home can annoy those who are still asleep and taking their nightly rest.
They also seemingly are too weak to even turn the door knob when they close the door. A big bang is what usually happens and can be really annoying as well.
Plus, there is the case of not flushing the toilet properly the comfort room becomes a beach. At least that is what I call it whenever the floor’s so wet even the rug cannot handle all the spills on the floor.
They are the boarders with no borders. And to think these people graduated college …
Roosters are annoying when in the wrong places. In the Philippines, it is quite common for a small community or what can be called a barangay to have so many roosters outside each home that it becomes a farm.
Temporarily, I live with my wife and her place is a small barangay where houses’ walls and roofs almost kiss each other. Some of the neighbors have roosters. Okay, so maybe they ain’t so bad. The worst part is if the neighbor, who lives like 5 houses away from you puts their rooster in front of your house.
What the … how uneducated of a neighbor is that? I had been lacking sleep for almost a month because of dog barkings and the last 2 weeks because of rooster cock-a-doodling-do early in the morning. I tried to Google to find ways to quiet down a rooster but it seems that there is just no way other than to either fool it into thinking it is still night time or kill it. But then again, the latter is cruel.
So it all boils down to how an ass the neighbor really is. They don’t like the noise so they put it in some place far from them, affecting other people. That, to me is pretty much uneducated.
The only option left is to transfer to some other place where there are no roosters at all. And yes, I guess in my case it is indeed the right time to move out. In 6 months time, I will definitely cherish the time I will get to sleep without any interruptions from roosters.
